AU SETTING/PAST GAME HISTORY » N/A

PERSONALITY » Think back and remember the baddest bitch you knew in high school – that girl that made your life a living hell and laughed while she did it.

Now give that girl an inherited gift of magic and a big thirst for power.

Whether the power she lusts for be social or magical, Faye is constantly looking out for number one. And in order to understand her, you have to understand that Faye’s biggest driving force is to further her own self. A majority of her actions are taken for her own benefit, even if they will be the downfall of another. To those who are not aware of her manipulative nature, she can turn on the charm without warning. Faye will be anything she has to be in order to get what she wants: sweet and innocent, dark and sultry, cold and ruthless. Faye is a chameleon in this way.

Unfortunately, she’s also easily bored, and if an act won’t work, she just takes what she wants. Before the circle was bound, Faye used magic frivolously, taking short cuts left and right in order to get her way without the hassle of trying. So once her powers were considerably limited, she found that doing things the long way just wasn’t her style. She doesn’t want consequences, which is why she’ll bother trying to manipulate others into giving in to her way, but if that won’t work, she doesn’t mind twisting a few figurative arms.

While Faye does have actual feelings, the hard outer shell really isn’t hiding much of a good person deep down. From time to time, she’ll think of others, but there’s usually some benefit to herself that she’s got in the back of her mind. Keeping all of her fellow witches alive benefits her, and so because of that, she’ll do what she can to help out the cause to save Cassie or the others when they’re in a bind. But Faye’s nature does not automatically think of the welfare of anyone- not even her best friend. She’s selfish at her core with only brief moments of true compassion that come through in extreme situations.

Faye has a rocky relationship with her mother, much like a lot of bratty teenage girls with attitude problems. Her mother, Dawn, exhibits traits that would lead a person to believe that she was a lot like Faye when she was in high school, so it can boil down to the two being too much alike to get along well. When two dominant personalities are thrown into a pit together, only one usually emerges. Mother and daughter will always love one another, but that doesn’t mean they have to like one another.

On the other hand, Faye did have one family member that she cared for more than anyone else that we’ve seen on the show thus far. Faye and her grandfather had a fantastic relationship that seemed to bring out the rare softer moments in Faye. While they didn’t see each other a great deal in recent years, Faye was always excited to see him and never had a bad word to speak about him. When he passed away suddenly, Faye was devastated. The fragility of human life, the way a person could be there one minute and gone the next- it had never been so real since her father died. She was unable to be strong, unable to pretend like nothing could touch her because this was her grandfather and he was never going to be there.

With the other members of the Circle, Faye just tends to try to be head witch in charge. She considers Melissa to be her best friend, and she still has an on-again-off-again thing for Jake, but for the most part, she doesn’t give two shits about the others. She is frequently pissed off that Cassie steals her thunder and has never been able to stand Diana’s goody-two-shoes life. She does not typically consider herself friends with a majority of the Circle, but has to play nice in order to work as much magic as she is able.

In romantic relationships, Faye hasn’t had the best luck. Prior to the show’s canon, it’s established that she and Jake Armstrong had a thing- one that was ended by Jake’s terms and left Faye pretty distraught. It’s implied by Melissa that the break up hurt Faye, though if you asked her, Faye would just brush it off and say that she just didn’t like not getting what she wanted. And then would top it off by noting how Jake wasn’t that great anyway. When he returns to town, however, she definitely sees it as her chance to rekindle that fire. Unfortunately, Jake’s eyes end up set on Cassie Blake, which causes Faye to take any good feelings she has about the new witch in town and throw them right in the trash. Faye eventually tries to forget about Jake by getting involved with a local voodoo practitioner named Lee. She tries to keep things casual, but as he feeds into her power hungry personality, Faye finds herself developing actual feelings for Lee. It’s only when his ex comes back around that she realizes that. The thought of being left behind for another girl causes Faye to come to terms with the fact that she wants him and not just to get her individual powers back.

ABILITIES/WEAKNESSES » Faye is a witch who can conjure elements, compel, and manipulate the world around her to varying degrees. Unfortunately, now that her Circle has been bound, she is unable to perform individual magic and can only exercise her power with the help of other members of her circle. The more members, the more powerful the spell.
DREAM POWER » Fire Conjure – While dreaming, Faye will have the ability to conjure fire up to the size of her palm. The flame will manifest in her hand, but not touching the skin. Should she try to direct the fire towards other objects, she is just as susceptible to a burn as anyone else.

[Faye flicks on the video feed and smiles for anyone tuning in, a mixture of sweet and mischievous.]

Montana, huh? I gotta tell ya… not my first choice for a vacation spot. The hotel set is nice enough, I guess. Not exactly four star, though, is it? [Do you see that little bit of a sneer, guys? That sneer is her letting you know how hard it is for her to suffer through.]

Oh, and if anyone from back home wants to give me a ring, feel free. Fingers crossed for something without a stick up their ass. If I’m stuck in this dump, we may as well raise a little hell, right?

LOG SAMPLE » “Montana.”

The word hung dead in the air. No matter how many times they had explained to her that she was in Sweven, Montana, it just didn’t make it any better. Not that Washington was a whole lot better, but at least there was some sort of decent civilization. Whoever heard of anything worthwhile coming from Montana that didn’t walk on four legs?

But she could work with this. She was Faye Chamberlain, after all. When life gave her lemons… Well, life didn’t Faye lemons. Life knew better.

So instead of sulking and moaning about how or why she was here, Faye decided to make the most of it. Someone back home was bound to figure it out, right? It was just a shame that her phone was nowhere to be found. She’d never really thought about how she didn’t have anyone’s number memorized until she was torn away from that lifeline. Oh well.

Her phone had been replaced with something that would do. She hadn’t figured out all the bells and whistles, but as she lazily scrolled through, she could see that it wouldn’t be too hard to catch on.

“Montana.” She repeated after mulling it over. “Let’s see what you’ve got.”
